Gaming: Xbox 360 3 Red Ring Of Death!!!

I never do really pay attention to all those people going through problems with their Xbox 360, and I never do worry about my Xbox 360 breaking down or getting the 3 red ring of death, because if I paid to much attention to those people having trouble with their 360, and worry that it will happen to me. I wouldn't get far in life worrying.
However, just recently, I got a new 360 game as a gift, and I was excited to play it. When I got home. I hooked up my Xbox 360 to the TV, and as usual it booted up fine and I logged into my Xbox live gamertag. Suddenly one second later, my TV screen turned into a solid green color. This got me a little worried. So I turned of my Xbox 360 and waited 30 seconds to reboot it. 30 Seconds past and I booted my Xbox 360 again, but this time it froze a second later as it boot up. You know when the Xbox 360 ball logo first appears. It would get stuck right there. This got me worried even a little more. I rebooted again, and still froze at boot up. At this point, I was rolling my eyes, and asking my self. "Why now?" I eventually get 1 red light on the Xbox 360 light ring, and it only happened once. So I called Xbox customer support, and they said I needed to ship my Xbox 360 in for repair, and they would send a box with in 3-5 days. Also what was bugging me was that my Xbox 360 had to break down 1 week before one of the best games this year came out called Mass Effect, and I was so looking forward to it, even more then Halo 3.
The shipping box arrived about 5 days later. The funny thing was that when I got the shipping box. It came with simple instructions, and one of them said to check my Xbox 360 and remove any CDs or DVDs in the tray, and to do this I needed to plug in my Xbox 360 and turn it on. I turned it on and the 3 red ring of death greeted me! I then realized that the freezing problem earlier was just a symptom that leads to the 3 red ring of death! I shipped my 360 back the same day I got the shipping box. It took longer to ship back due to Thanksgiving, but I didn't mind.
Right now it's at the repair center, and I am hoping that it won't take too long to replace and ship it back out way before Christmas day.
That Mass Effect game I was so excited about lies there on the self un-opened gathering dust along with that other game called Ace Combat 6 I got as a gift, also un-opened. So I have 2 cool NEW games and I can't play it. This part really frustrates me.
In the end, it's just a machine, and they do break down, and it is not the end of the world.
