For the longest time, I was was stuck with an older Windows operating system. I used Windows 2000 for the longest time, and that was fine. Windows 2000 was one of the best Windows in my opinion. However, Microsoft eventually stopped all support for Win 2k. What did that mean for me? Well, after Microsoft stopped support on Win 2k. Other software developers stopped supporting Win 2k. Software I used, eventually wouldn't work in their latest updated versions. New software such as Google Chrome from the start never supported Win 2k. One needed Win XP or Win Vista to use Google Chrome.
All the current Apple products such as the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad does not support Win 2k. So if I wanted an iPad, I wouldn't be able to activate it since the first thing the iPad does is require you to sync with iTunes.
Today, now that I have my new laptop and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I can finally catch up to all the stuff that I couldn't do back on my old Windows 2000 PC.
I can now run Google Chrome, which is a really great web browser once I got the chance to really use it.
However, Windows 7 has changed a bit since Windows 2000, so it's taking me a little bit to get used to my new operating system. But that's the fun part is learning a new system.
