Tablet PC's

It's 2011, and just recently there have been allot new tablet PC's that just started to flood the market. After the iPad came out, pretty much all the other tablet manufactures went to their drawing boards to redesign their Tablet PC's so that's why it took so long to see them to come out of the market this late.
Anyway, The Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Blackberry Playbook and the iPad 2 just recently came out. Both Moto Xoom, and Galaxy Tab 10.1 run on the new Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS for Tablet PC's, and both have 10" screens. While the Blackberry Playbook uses it's own Blackberry OS and an 7" screen. The iPad 2 still runs off the latest IOS with the same screen size as the original iPad, but in a much slimmer and liter design then ever before.

I've played around with both of them. The Moto Xoom out of all the Tablets is the thickest and heaviest. It sure felt sturdy and all but it is big to hold for long periods of time. Android 3.0 ran well on the Xoom, but it was a little bit laggy even with it's dual core CPU. The large screen is the best part of the Xoom, and it's front and rear cameras does pretty well taking pictures.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 also just very recently came out. The original Galaxy tab was a 7" tablet PC that ran off of Android 2.3, which also runs off of current android phones. However, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs off of Android 3.0 Honeycomb which is designed for Tablet PC's, and it runs much better then the Moto Xoom. Overall, the design is very thin, and it's very slightly thinner then the iPad 2, but it is very slightly thinner and it is hardly noticeable at first glance. However, with it's plastic construction the Galaxy Tab 10.1 feels a little flimsy. As I said before, Android 3.0 Honeycomb runs much smoother on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 then the Xoom with it's dual core CPU.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 10" screen is also very nice, and it's front and rear cameras does better at taking picture then the Xoom, but it's not as good as a dedicated digital camera.

I was excited about both the Xoom, and Galaxy Tab 10.1, but when I played around with them a little bit at the store. I didn't like the Android 3.0 as much as I thought. Honeycomb sure looks complex, and nifty. It also multitask really well, but I felt that it was to much on the screen and it was cluttered. I tend to like the simple less cluttered design of the iPad's IOS. Also Honeycomb doesn't have allot of Apps for it like the iPad, and it's taking longer to come out.

Blackberry Playbook I didn't even bother playing around with. I am sick and tired of the Blackberry none existence customer service!!! Having problems with my Blackberry phone, and Blackberry customer service only business, and the fact that they said that my phone provider should contact them on behalf of me, and my phone provider said no I should contact Blackberry and no one wanting to do anything to offer any customer service really turned me off! And very ticked off!!!

iPad 2 on the other had is my favorite tablet PC in the market now. It's also one of the prettiest devices I've seen. The iPad 2 is one of the thinnest tablet PC's currently out in the market, and it feels very solid and professionaly built. I like the feel of it's aluminum 1 piece body. It's is also lite, compared to other tablet PCs. The IOS is very simple in design, but offers allot with the tens of thousands of apps that are available in the App Store. My only grip about it is that the front and rear cameras are just OK. Not good, or great, but just OK, but that didn't stop me from choosing and getting the iPad 2, I'll write my review about it later.
