Gaming: Day One DLC

Mass Effect 3 came out and on it's release there is already DLC. It wasn't developed by Bioware, and it was made after the main game was completed, and it has made allot of people unhappy with it just as much as the ending of the game.
For me it's more of a problem then the ending. Here I payed $60 for a game and now I have to pay an extra $10 more to get the "full experience" on day one!

Here is the kicker. Those who got the limited edition of the game for $79.99 got the DLC for free, and many stores sold out of the limited edition long before the game was released.
Those who didn't get the limited edition of the game was down the hole paying $10 extra for the DLC.

My real grip is that this type of business practice is going to alienate gamers. The economy is taking forever to get better, and charging extra from day one DLC doesn't make it easy for playing the full enjoyment of the game. Let alone the rising gas prices...
I just hope this type of business practice doesn't take hold.

F.Y.I. If I remember right, when Mass Effect 2 came out. All new copies of the game came with a download code to download the extra member Zaeed at no extra cost. They could have done the same in Mass Effect 3, just F.Y.I.
