Free-To-Play Games.

Free-To-Play is a new trend that allot of game developers is turning to. Allot of MMORPG, have gone Free-To-Play. City Of Heroes, Star Trek Online, DC Universe Online are some example that have gone Free-To-Play with choices of in game purchases.
This for me is not a bad idea, it lets people play the game for free with out the monthly expenses.
Two other games also came out from the start as Free-To-Play.
Tribes Ascend is based after the popular team based Tribes series, and brings back allot of the popular gameplay from Tribes 2 that allot of people enjoyed including me. However, I have yet play it, and when I do. I will post more about the game.
Blacklight Retribution is also another team based FPS that has allot of content for being a Free-To-Play game.
Both Tribes Ascend and Blacklight Retribution have an incredible amount of polish for being a Free-To-Play games, and is a very good sign. To Make up for the Free-To-Play, both games have in game purchase in which players can pay real money to buy in game credits to upgrade their game characters. However, players are not forced to pay real money to upgrade and can use in game XP to buy the upgrades.
I haven't played Blacklight Retribution yet either, but will post more about it when I do able to play it.
There is allot of promise to Free-To-Play games, and can't wait to see what will come out of it in the future.
