Just last year, Microsoft just released a new improved hardware Xbox 360 named "Jasper." This new hardware changes the graphics GPU from 90nm to 65nm, which means it takes less power to run and produces less heat, which is also good because overheating is being blamed for the Red Ring Of Death that people encountered, including me.
Other changes is the addition of an onboard 250mb flash RAM, (Only In Xbox 360 Arcades) because they don't have Hard Drives to download and run NXE.
For now the Jasper Xbox 360 are mostly in the Xbox 360 Arcades.
There is rumors flying around that the 60GB Xbox 360 Pro is coming out with the Jasper hardware, but little proof.
No word as to when the Xbox 360 Elite will be switching over to the much improved and better Jasper hardware.
